I hope you are well. I have recently found your contact
details on your East Cornwall Harriers website. The reason i am writing to you
is i would like to ask if you would be interested in getting involved with our
latest series of 10k runs called Cancer Research UK 10.
The 2005 Cancer
Research UK 10 series is a unique fundraising series of 23 ten kilometre runs,
supported by Tesco, held in September and October 2005 in the grounds of some of
the UK’s most beautiful stately homes. The series is one of Cancer Research UK’s
fundraising events and helps enable the charity to find new ways to treat, cure
and prevent cancer. Open to both men and women of all running abilities, it is
hoped that over 31,000 people will take part. Entry to the runs is via website
only: http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/10 Our website is now live for entries, as of 13th June, with over 2,200 people
entered so far..
The event i am really interested in speaking to you
about is at Lanhydrock, near Bodmin. This will be the first time we have held
the 10k at Lanhydrock and we hope to attract around 1,000 participants and raise
over £55,000 in sponsorship monies for Cancer Research UK. The date of the
Lanhydrock 10k will be on Sunday 11th September 2005, with the run
starting at 11am.
The type of assistance I am looking for would be in the
form of course marshalling and course clear down (Sunday). If you are interested
in getting involved with this years event i would love to speak with you. Any
help would be very much appreciated and its running clubs like yours that really
make these events happen and work well.

e-posters for you which you can open, scroll down and print off the Lanhydrock
